A machine shop is a small scale outsource shop that mainly fabricates wood, plastics and metals for use in various diverse fields. The machine shop has a set of machines that are used to perform various functions of the fabrication. There are various tools that are commonly found in most machine shops.

Machine shop vise

A  machine shop vice is used to clamp the material tightly to allow for easier manipulation of the material. The vise used a lever to bring its two arms to tightly cling the material to a firm, stable state. The arms or jaws of the vice are rough to allow for a tight grip on the material. The vice is usually screwed into a working bench or has its own stand. There are different vises depending on the material being worked on. There are wood vises and a metal work vise.

A machine shop drill is used to bore holes in metals, wood and other materials. The lever allows for easy drilling of holes in the materials. The machine must be maintained in a top condition to ensure that it continuously functions correctly.

A machine shop lathe is a turning machine that enables material to be shaped into various designs. It enables designs for furniture and other aesthetic beauty woodwork. The machine rotates the wood while the wood worker holds a chisel to create designs onto the cylindrical wood.

The Machine shop bench planner is a multi-purpose woodwork tool that cuts, smooth, shapes and shapes wood into a given design. The bench is powered by a belt motor.
